Party It Up!

Happy birthday, Bekah! I'm so glad we are friends as well as family. Hope you have a great day full of all the happy and best things and that this year brings many wonderful and beautiful surprises. Love ya! (I know you and Nate celebrated your birthday along with your anniversary, but you really shouldn't let him off the hook that easily.... )

Running through my Mind

So there is this song I like that keeps running through my head. I decided to post it and listen to it and maybe it will let me move on to a new one--or at least stop singing the 5 phrases I know. Love the beat and rhythm of the song. Baby are you down? Down by Jay Sean (with Lil Wayne) Baby are you down [x5] Down, down Even if the sky is fallin' down Down, down (oooh) You already know Tonight is the night to let it go Put on a show (show, show) I wanna see how you lose control So leave it behind, cus we have a night to get away (away, away) So come on and fly with me As we make our great escape (escape, escape) [Chorus:] So baby don't worry You are my only You won't be lonely Even if the sky is falling down You'll be my only (yaaah) Don't need to worry Baby are you down [x5] Down, down Baby are you down [x5] Down, down Even if the sky is falling down Just let it be Come on and bring your body next to me I'll take you away (ay) Time is placing to our private get

Miracles Never Cease

This story was sent to me by my parents... Check out the picture below of a crash site in Arizona. You can see where the vehicle broke through the guardrail (on the right side of the culvert near where the people are standing on the road pointing). The pick-up was traveling about 75 mph from right side of the picture to left when it crashed through the guardrail. It flipped end-over-end, bounced off and across the culvert outlet and landed right side up on the left side of the culvert, facing the opposite direction it had been traveling. The 22-year-old driver and his 18-year-old passenger were unhurt except for minor cuts and bruises. Then look at the second picture below... Same picture - taller view. Amazing.

You Got to Move It, Move It

A friend at work (named Andrea) shared this transcript of an ACTUAL radio conversation between the British and the Irish, off the coast of Kerry, Oct 1998. The radio conversation was released by the Chief of Naval Operations, 10-10-01: IRISH: Please divert your course 15 degrees to the South, to avoid a collision. BRITISH: Recommend you divert your course 15 degrees to the North, to avoid a collision. IRISH: Negative. You will have to divert your course 15 degrees to the South to avoid a collision. BRITISH: This is the Captain of a British navy ship. I say again, divert YOUR course. IRISH: Negative. I say again, you will have to divert YOUR course. BRITISH: THIS IS THE AIRCRAFT CARRIER HMS BRITANNIA! THE SECOND LARGEST SHIP IN THE BRITISH ATLANTIC FLEET. WE ARE ACCOMPANIED BY THREE DESTROYERS, THREE CRUISERS, AND NUMEROUS SUPPORT VESSELS. I DEMAND THAT YOU CHANGE YOUR COURSE 15 DEGREES NORTH, I SAY AGAIN, THAT IS 15 DEGREES NORTH, OR COUNTER-MEASURES WILL BE UNDERTAKEN TO ENSURE THE SA

Watch What You Eat

A friend sent this to me and I couldn't resist sharing it. Thanks, Marie. I was packing for a business trip while my three-year-old daughter had a wonderful time playing on the bed. At one point she exclaimed, "Daddy, look at this", and stuck out two tiny fingers toward me. Trying to keep her entertained, I reached out, stuck her fingers in my mouth, pretending to eat them, and said, "Daddy's gonna eat your fingers". I went back to packing, but looked up shortly to see my daughter standing on the bed staring at her fingers with a devastated look on her face. "What's wrong, honey?" I asked. She replied, "What happened to my booger?"
