A "Thank You" Seems so Little

The Unknown Soldier by Billy Rose There's a graveyard near the White House Where the Unknown Soldier lies, And the flowers there are sprinkled With the tears from mother's eyes. I stood there not so long ago With roses for the brave, And suddenly I heard a voice Speak from out the grave: "I am the Unknown Soldier," The spirit voice began, "And I think I have the right To ask some questions man to man. "Are my buddies taken care of? Was their victory so sweet? Is that big reward you offered Selling pencils on the street? "Did they really win the freedom They battled to achieve? Do you still respect that Croix de Guerre Above that empty sleeve? "Does a gold star in the window Now mean anything at all? I wonder how my old girl feels When she hears a bugle call. "And that baby who sang 'Hello, Central, give me no man Can they replace her daddy With a military band? "I wonder if the profiteers Have satisfied their greed? I wonder if a sol...

Sunshine

I think if you were to look up kindness, compassion, happiness and sunshine in the dictionary that you would find Angela Rogers.

Seriously so Blessed

What sweet friends! I came back from a meeting today to the most beautiful surprise on my desk - a bouquet of bright orange gerbera daisies. They are the envy of the office. Thanks Andrea , Karyn , and Melinda for your thoughtfulness. And how yummy and silly Red Mango was with you three last night! You are the BEST!

Easter Message from an Apostle

An Easter message from an Apostle of the Lord Sometimes the whole Plan of Salvation makes me catch my breath with amazement. I do not understand how it works, how He could have paid the price for all the world, how He could pay the price for me. I only trust that He did. That He took my sins upon him in Gethsemene, that He laid His body down and took it up again on the third day. I am grateful for the opportunity to repent. Begin again. Thank you hardly seems to satisfy my debt.

Graduation

After nearly 32 years as an employee of American Fork City, Dad is retiring. He was recently featured in an article in the American Fork Citizen and the Daily Herald . You can read it here . I remember some of the dirty movies he brought home to watch as part of the job--camera tours of the sewer lines. Ewwww! (Luckily those movies were usually prior to the line being used.) Way to go Dad! We are so proud of you and love you much!

Military Thank You (Sponsored by Xerox)

Karen W. sent me an email explaining how it works. Choose a thank you card here , and Xerox will print and send it to a soldier currently serving in Iraq. You can't pick out who receives it, but it will go to a member of the armed services. How AMAZING would it be if everyone sent at least one card?!? It is FREE and takes only seconds to select a card and message. This is a simple way for us to show the soldiers we support them and are grateful for their service.
