Witchiepalooooza

Lisa, Linda and I headed out to Gardner's Village for Witches Night Out! So fun--but way crowded and my claustrophbia kicked in a bit. It's a good thing I'm fairly tall. I can't imagine what it would be like to be in a crowd like that and not be able to see anything above shoulders. Shudder. Check out our fun night, capped off with dinner at Archibald's. We so closed out the joint! Thanks ladies for a spooktacular time!!!

Drowned

This was a funny picture I took in the middle of a downpour in Salt Lake at the 2009 Arts Festival last summer. It seriously felt like someone had turned on a faucet and let the water run unmonitored and uncontrolled. A sweet guy shared his umbrella with me and two friends. A New Favorite Thing

Several months ago, my team at work visited Sp^rk (Spark) for lunch in Provo near the Wells Fargo building. Delish! Then for my birthday three dear friends took me to Guru's for dinner and indulged my whim to hang in the lounge and sip fancy drinks at Sp^rk. A few days later, I hit the joint again with two other darling friends after Gypsy Tapestry for dinner and drinks. Every time I've gone, the staff has been attentive and fabulous. The food is amazing and their non-alcoholic drinks are wonderful. Did you know that Wednesdays are ladies night? Ladies get a free dessert with the purchase of a food item. Try the chocolate mousse. It's a mini trip to heaven.

After work on Friday, Tina, three of her nieces, me and my niece AJ, Lisa, and Linda headed to the State Fair . Unfortunately I forgot my camera to document it. We started with the equestrian show, watched the lemon shark and nurse sharks, looked at some vending booths, ate a hot dog (or just the bun in AJ's case). We saw and petted sheep, goats, cows, pigs, and rabbits. The world's tiniest horse was pretty cool, but probably about the same size as a normal shetland pony. The vantage had from walking up around the horse made it seem smaller though. Al the alligator was pretty cool. AJ was nervous he would eat her until Tina pointed out the glass and bars between him and us. I also reassured her that if Al tried to eat her I'd protect her and let him eat me first. What does it say that that put her at ease? AJ didn't w...
