A Wee Taste o' Sumpin New

Friday night I went to a concert. The crowd was pretty mellow, but the group was fabulous! They had an interesting mix of music and a unique sound and a wide vocal range. It ended up being really fun--and I bought their CD. They were an unknown band to me, but have opened for people like Kelly Clarkson, etc. The band consisted of a keyboardist, guitarist, bassist and drummer. And they are LDS. Here's a sampling of some of their songs: I Want You There Will He Dance? Hiding Behind the Song Get Lost Heart of the Matter (cover-Don Henley) Wasn't That Your Plan Use Somebody (cover-Kings of Leon) You Could Be Why Whenever Wherever Whatever (cover-Maxwell) Enjoy!

Something Bright and Cheery just for Spring

Youtube and I seem to be having a disagreement. You'll have to follow the links to see and hear these artists. I was recently introducted to two new musicial groups: Lunasa and Natalie MacMaster . You can hear Lunasa and watch pictures from someone's trip to Ireland on youtube . Natalie MacMaster accompanies some Irish step dancers in this video . I really like their sound -- they make my feet tappy happy.

Il y a (In English)

In response to Karyn's post, yes, I have studied French. I don't know that I would claim to know French very well. I get by. Here is a rough translation of the song I posted about earlier. Someone else may be able to correct where I fall short. Enjoy! There is There are thyme, heather, and a pine wood. Nothing with guile. There are streams, clearings (not sure what this part means). There are odors of mint and fireplaces with fires inside. There are days and nights that pass slowly, and the story goes on in the same old way. And far from everything, far from me, it is there that you feel you are home, there that you leave, where you return every time, and where all will end up. There are children, grandmothers, a small church, and a large coffee. There is at the far end the cemetery, joy, miseries, and times passed. There is a small school with wooden benches just as in previous times. There are pictures that stick to the end of your fingers and your beating heart. And far fro...

Il y a

I love this song... (Angie, Would you someday teach me how to add youtube the COOL way?)

Karly's Krazy Kompilation

My cool friend Karly from work must have tracked the number of times I hit her post to listen to the vampire wedding song. It’s awesome! You can listen to it on her blog here . She burned it to a CD for me (along with some other awesome Halloween songs)! I've named it Karly's Krazy Kompilation. How suh-weet it is! Thanks, Karly!
