Crazy Park City Adventures

Karyn, Melinda, Andrea, and I decided to jaunt up to Park City this past Saturday to catch some amazing deals at the outlets and celebrate two birthdays.

In addition to the discount coupons printed off the Tangiers website, many of the outlet stores were having 40% and 50% off sales. There were so many incredible deals. Karyn wanted some shoes that weren't in stock and the store offered to ship them to her with no shipping charge. One of us spent $28 in The Children's Place for three shirts, one skirt, and two pairs of pants. Another bought a darling, red name brand purse for 1/3 of the retail price. (Melinda- I can't remember, was it Coach?)

Later, we went to Baja Cantina for dinner. The T.J. Taxi was delish! It was an afternoon and evening full of much needed giggles.

On my way home, I stopped to meet Daphne at Club Habits to boogie the night away. What a day!

Let's Get It Started

Today I found a new online party planning resource . Holiday, birthday, bridal shower, baby shower, weddings, etc. It helps you create invitations or ecards, is customizable, offers list management and guest list management, sends event/birthday reminders, manages potluck sign up lists, links to Twitter and Facebook, helps you decide on a date, links to your e-calendar, links to party planning supplies, manages a to-do list, offers party planning ideas, hints and tips, and is pretty much amazing. In addition, it is free. I'm hooked.

Shot and Chaser

I did it! Today I braved a shot of wheat grass and am forever grateful to the Jamba Juice employee (Alexa) who recommended the orange juice shot as a chaser over an orange wedge. I'm not sure why today was such a momentous day. Wheat grass is something I've wanted to try for a while, but haven't dared do - kind of like my purchasing soy milk and hesitance to drink. (Thanks, Renee , for the recent soy smoothie introduction!) All I can say now is wow, wheat grass - talk about fresh!

Puttin' on the Witch!

Tonight, the majority of my family met at Gardner Village for dinner at Archibald's and then planned to wander the Village. It's Witchapalooza and witching time at the Village. By the time we finished dinner, most of the shops were closing. We looked around a bit and snapped a few pictures. I'll post them another time. The witches and pumpkins and Halloween decor was frightfully fun, but I don't think I've had such poor customer service at a restaurant before. I wish I could say that the restaurant was packed. Maybe there were extenuating circumstances we weren't aware of. Maybe it was an off night for them. Maybe I'm just grouchy. Birthdays sometimes do that.
