Out of the mouths of prophets...

I totally agree that we live in troubling times and that we as a society have made some really bad decisions. But I also feel a little unsettled that as part of the "Out of the mouths of prophets" montage that a speech Ezra Taft Benson gave that was not to members of the church is included as part of it. Not that what he says doesn't have truth to it, but it just seems like they are taking it out of context a little. I dunno...maybe I'm just being too sensitive about the whole thing. :)

And by the way, I love your blog. I in no way meant the above comment to be offensive to you or anything. In fact, if you want to, delete it. I was just wondering about mixing his political life and his prophetic life. I realize he was an apostle when he gave the speech. Anyway, sorry to waste so much of your time on this. Please don't be offended. Keep on posting. I enjoy reading your blog!

Good point, and I am not offended. I appreciate your sharing your comments.

I hadn't really thought about the mixture of Church and State speeches in the clip. I had liked the message--that we live in troubling times and have done so for a while, but that we can have peace and hope. It's probably odd that it brought me comfort in our crazy economic times....

I'm glad you would share your thoughts and feelings. Comment away!

In addition, it is free. I'm hooked.
