After Twilight

Mom and I went to see Twilight this afternoon. I'm still a little queasy from all the quick camera movements and sitting so near the screen.

Overall, I liked the flick. I don't know if it would have made as good of an impression if I didn't already know the storyline.

Half of my enjoyment came from the expectation of what was coming next. Part came from the "crowd" participation. It was almost like being a part of a melodrama with the cheers and boos and screams from the audience.

I'm not totally sold on Edward or Bella. I pictured both characters very differently from the movie depiction.
That said, I'm already planning to see it again. Not so close this time, please.

I saw it tonight. It was cheesy and I loved every second of it. :) Although Bella bugs me. Maybe I"m just jealous.

I saw it today. I have never read any of the books so I did enjoy the movie. Now that I have seen the movie, I really do want to read the books.

I haven't seen it yet. Maybe I could go with you when it hits the cheaper theaters... or we could go to a matinee!

Went with my Sister in law for her birthday and had a great time. They made the movie for a target audience on a low budget and they did well. I'd watch it again but need to remember nachos for all the cheese! ;)

Yes they were pictured so much better in my head while reading the book although they weren't bad in the film. I plan on seeing it again too with a small crowd and better seats :) I want my husband to see it and tell me what he thinks since he has not read the books. But I did LOVE who they picked for Jacob.

I loved the movie. It was cheesy, but very cute. My audience was really into the movie. Everyone was cheering and laughing loudly. When Edward was slowly trying to kiss Bella for the first time, someone from the audience yelled, "You can do it," in a funny accent. I will be in line to see the second one.

Puttin' on the Witch!

Tonight, the majority of my family met at Gardner Village for dinner at Archibald's and then planned to wander the Village. It's Witchapalooza and witching time at the Village. By the time we finished dinner, most of the shops were closing. We looked around a bit and snapped a few pictures. I'll post them another time. The witches and pumpkins and Halloween decor was frightfully fun, but I don't think I've had such poor customer service at a restaurant before. I wish I could say that the restaurant was packed. Maybe there were extenuating circumstances we weren't aware of. Maybe it was an off night for them. Maybe I'm just grouchy. Birthdays sometimes do that.
