Wendy nominated me for this award. Thanks so much, Wendy!!

She is an amazing cardmaker who loves pretty paper. Her creativity blows me away. I think my favorite post of hers is still her Halloween boxes. So cute!

If you are a stamp-er or cardmaker or scrapbook-er or in need of creative ideas or just simply like to look through what other people are making-- check out her blog.

As a result of receiving this nomination, I am supposed to tell you 5 things I am addicted to and nominate 5 other fabulous sites.

Addictions:
* My family (especially nieces and nephews) – they are adorable! I love them and love being with them. If you need proof of their adorable-ness ask. I could go on and on and on!
* Books – I love to read, mostly fiction.
* Belly dancing – it’s a crazy, fun hobby. There is something grounding about the whirl of colors and the beat of the drum. I love the sisterhood we share in troupe and the creativity that comes from the dance.
* Cambridge and Oliver – silly, silly dogs.
* The Ranch – Something about the red dirt down there, once you get a taste of it, it never lets go.

Now for the blogs! So hard to choose!!!! I enjoy visiting more than 5 blogs regularly, but here are the 5 I’ve visited most recently – in addition to Wendy’s.

Nominations:
* http://gordongossip.blogspot.com/ - Jenifer always has some great, new idea posted. She has great taste, and I feel like reading her blog is like reading a magazine. She has a way of finding all the cool things first.
* http://sherbugs.blogspot.com/ - Sherry shares her life. I can see her family in each word she writes. She makes me laugh or cry depending on the post.
* http://mowglimarie.blogspot.com/ - Angie has quirky awesome posts. I love the variety of her posts and her mad video editing skills.
* http://morrillfamilyblog.blogspot.com/ - I love Bekah’s blog because I get to see into her family and check up on the happenings in the lives of a nephew and a niece. Two obsessions in one: family and blog! I love her posts and comments. She is the one who introduced me to thecutestblogontheblock.com and to blog playlists.
* http://j0n3zclan.blogspot.com/- Havilah is my sister-in-law’s sister. I love to read about the funny and creative things that happen in their family.

For the complete list of blogs I visit, check out the Friends and Family and the Blog Stalking lists below. If you have other favorites, please share with me!

Let's Get It Started

Today I found a new online party planning resource . Holiday, birthday, bridal shower, baby shower, weddings, etc. It helps you create invitations or ecards, is customizable, offers list management and guest list management, sends event/birthday reminders, manages potluck sign up lists, links to Twitter and Facebook, helps you decide on a date, links to your e-calendar, links to party planning supplies, manages a to-do list, offers party planning ideas, hints and tips, and is pretty much amazing. In addition, it is free. I'm hooked.

Puttin' on the Witch!

Tonight, the majority of my family met at Gardner Village for dinner at Archibald's and then planned to wander the Village. It's Witchapalooza and witching time at the Village. By the time we finished dinner, most of the shops were closing. We looked around a bit and snapped a few pictures. I'll post them another time. The witches and pumpkins and Halloween decor was frightfully fun, but I don't think I've had such poor customer service at a restaurant before. I wish I could say that the restaurant was packed. Maybe there were extenuating circumstances we weren't aware of. Maybe it was an off night for them. Maybe I'm just grouchy. Birthdays sometimes do that. Guess I'd better see the Witch Doctor or something to get it straightened out. The company was grand: mom and dad; Adam, Renee, AJ, and EL; Nathan, Bekah, RD, and AM, and me. Their service gave us a lot of time to sit and visit. RD and AJ were darling. Both were in very good moods. RD had on hi
